Introduction

Hi ... thanks for visiting my Hunting Log. This web site is basically a photo & caption summary of my hunting experiences and a few of my friends' hunts. The numerous hunts span 10 yrs and take place in 6 states (Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan and Alaska).

As a kid ... fishing was my main focus ... but I totally changed gears on one Autumn morning. I was about 11 or 12 yrs old and fishing at my favorite spot on my favorite stream. It started out a very calm and quiet Pennsylvania morning ... when all of a sudden I heard a loud splashing noise just beyond the trees around the stream bend. A few moments later ... a large whitetail buck came into view. He walked briskly down the middle of the stream and then emerged up on the opposite bank across from me. My jaw dropped as he dashed up the steep hill and disappeared over the railroad tracks. The entire encounter only lasted about 2 or 3 minutes ... but as you can see from this web site ... it left a lasting impression on me.
